Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, stunned viewers after revealing she underwent a substantial weight loss transformation. She dropped to a size eight after losing a whopping six stone before she joined the ITV soap.
In June 2011, she made her debut as barmaid Eva Price, before she left the cobbles in 2018 when her character moved to France with her daughter.
She said back in 2013 that she “struggled to control” her weight when she was younger and after missing out on a leading part because the director thought she was too large, she decided to do something about it.
Catherine also managed to drop another two stone shortly after welcoming her son Alfie in 2015.
The actress said she had adopted unhealthy eating habits because of her job, but by learning more about nutrition and the foods she was putting in her body, she managed to slim right down.

In a bid to inspire her fans, she shared a picture of her when she was a size 22 alongside one of her as her current size eight.
She explained how she managed to lose weight easily, explaining that motivation is “key”.
“I couldn’t walk up the stairs without gasping for breath,” the TV star said.
“I had zero energy and my skin was terrible. Educating myself on nutrition was the best thing I ever did,” she added.

So what did she do to slim down?
Catherine revealed she joined Ultimate Performance and began a 12-week weight loss and fitness programme.
Throughout the three-month plan, she learnt to lift weights properly, engaged in high-intensity exercises and ate a much more healthy diet.
Her meals were structured and included lots of protein and fibre-rich vegetables.

She said: “It’s just fitting it around your schedule. If I was working I’d go on walks.
“On night shoots there are a lot of pies and bacon sandwiches floating about but I took stuff with me.”
Despite having finished her programme, she continued to stick with it.She developed a passion for exercise with the help of her personal training sessions while on her plan and she continues to work out regularly to keep herself in shape.
Of her transformation, she said: “I think it’s about creating a lifestyle. If you want to sustain a healthy weight and feel good about yourself then you need to fuel your body with the right food.”
According to Healthline, to lose weight people must find a ratio of macronutrients they can stick with.
Their experts suggest the acceptable macronutrient distribution ranges are 45–65 percent of daily calories from carbs, 20–35 percent from fats and 10–35 percent from protein.
