Natural medicine, such as cannabis products and psychedelics, could see more use in the near future.
According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 37 states, three territories, and the District of Columbia allow the medical use of cannabis products. 19 states have legalized cannabis products for non-medical use, including three territories, and the District of Columbia.
Some wonder what other natural medicines will soon be allowed for medical use. Psychedelics currently are illegal for medical and recreational use in most states. However, some states have partially decriminalized some psychedelics for things such as medical use or religious exemption. According to Psychedelic Invest, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Michigan have decriminalized some psychedelics, such as Psilocybin and DMT/Ayahuasca, and Oregon has fully decriminalized them.
We talk about the medical use, effects, and potential legalization of these natural medicines with our guests Friday.
