Daytona Beach pools
The City of Daytona Beach offers swimming pool access at the Campbell Aquatic Center, 400 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and the Cypress Aquatic Center, 981 George W. Engram Blvd.
Cypress has swim hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for 17 years old and younger.
The Campbell Aquatic Center is temporarily closed for resurfacing of the two pools and installation of a new motor pump.
Children 5 years and younger must be accompanied in the water by a parent or responsible supervisor who is at least 16 years old. For more information, call (386) 671-8392 or visit codb.us/pools/.
Dickerson Center
Daytona Beach residents can feel the burn with cardio kickboxing at the Dickerson Center at 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.
Classes are offered for adults from noon to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday and 5 to 6 p.m. for youth ages 5 to 17. Each session is $5 per person.

Gentle Yoga Flow
Gentle Yoga with Kim Latford will meet at 5:20 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 23 and 30, at Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.
Participants should bring a yoga mat and water. The cost per class is $14 for OMAM members and $15 for non members. Late arrivals will not be admitted or refunded.

Midtown Center
Grown Folks Basketball will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday at the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center at 925 George W. Engram Blvd.
Men ages 40 and older are invited to play and show some game. Admission is free.

Nova Community Center gym closing
The gym at Nova Community Center, at 440 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, closed July 11 for floor repairs. The gym will reopen when repairs are completed. Repairs are expected to take four to six week.
Alternate outdoor courts are available at Central Park, Nova Community Center and Osceola Elementary.

Ormond Beach Tennis Center
Ormond Beach Tennis Center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday to Sunday at 38 E. Granada Blvd.
It offers play for members and non-members, and classes seven days a week.

South Ormond Neighborhood Center
South Ormond Neighborhood Center is open from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 176 Division Ave., Ormond Beach.
The center has baseball fields and basketball. Tennis courts are closed as center is renovated.

YSG Community Center
Kung-fu and Tai-Chi classes are offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational Center, 1000 Vine St., Daytona Beach. The fee is $40 per month.
Open gym for Daytona Beach residents to play basketball is from from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the center.

Yoga in the Gallery
Yoga in the Gallery will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach.
Meet in the lobby. Class is open to all experience levels. Participants should bring a mat, towel and water. Space is limited and registration is required. Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Senior fitness class
Jojo’s Fitness and Fun, senior fitness class , will meet at 10:30 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday at the Ponce Inlet Community Center, 4670 S. Peninsula Drive.
The class will focus on cardio, strength and balance. Handheld weights, and resistance bands and ball will be used. All equipment provided. Participants should bring a water bottle. First class is free, then $6 per class.

Chair yoga classes
Chair Yoga classes are offered from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Daytona Beach Shores Community Center at 3000 Bellemead Drive.
The class is for those who will practice seated and standing poses using a chair for support to help improve balance, posture, energy, breathing, strength, flexibility and relaxation.
The center also offers Gentle Yoga classes from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays with floor to standing poses. Yoga classes are taught by Mardi Williams, a certified yoga teacher.
The cost is $8. Daytona Beach Shores residency and membership are not required.

Synergy Senior Fitness Classes with Senior Fitness Specialist Artie Gardella will meet at noon Fridays at First Baptist Church of Port Orange at 316 Church St.
No pre-registration, just show up. All fitness insurances accepted.

Balance and Motion for Seniors
Balance and Motion for Seniors will meet at noon Tuesdays at Grace Episcopal Church, 4110 Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange.
The 45-minute classes are open to the public for all fitness levels. Classes are ongoing and are covered by most fitness health insurance programs.
