One of Southwest Ohio’s largest hospital systems is expanding its reach into integrative medicine, which means traditional medical practices with holistic approaches.
Christ Hospital Health Network last week announced its acquisition of Kenwood-based Alliance Integrative Medicine. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Alliance Integrative, led by Drs. Steve and Sandi Amoils, will remain at its current location on Galbraith Road, but will begin deploying its team throughout Christ Hospital’s various ambulatory centers, a release said. This includes an outpatient location on Reading Road in Mason, Warren County.
The practice, the release states, aims to identify the root cause behind patients’ symptoms. It includes: six physicians, four chiropractors, two dietitians, a health coach, massage therapists and other providers.
“AIM has created a progressive approach to healing and well-being,” Christ Hospital CEO and president Debbie Hayes said in a statement. “There is an ever-increasing request by our patients for proactive wellness resources and alternative treatment therapies. As a health care system, we are evolving to provide those resources so that patients have many options on how they choose to approach managing their health.”
Christ Hospital Health Network had $1.05 billion in expenses in 2020, according to research by our sister paper Cincinnati Business Courier.
The health system has 6,238 employees, including 1,300 physicians. In addition to an acute care hospital in Mount Auburn, Christ Hospital Health Network operates a remote hospital in Liberty Township, five ambulatory outpatient centers and dozens of offices throughout the region.
